Real Life Testimonial no. 1

A Blessed Thank YOU Mr Mike for teaching me the breakfree method, I must recommend all women to attend this program because Mr Mike is an expert in teaching the weaker person how to overcome a bigger opponent.  Here is my story…

On Sunday about 2.30pm at Pandan Indah while I was walking home along the shophouses, I heard a vehicle with screeching sound, so naturally I looked back to see what was happening.   To my horror, by the time I turned back, a white van was very close to me and the sliding door opened.   One tall man jumped out of the van and came directly at me.

It all happened so fast, I frozed momentarily and by the time I knew, he had already gripped my wrist and started to yank me into the van which was just a few feet away.   I was stunned for a moment, but something in me remembered the simple breakfree technique that I had just learned recently from Mr Mike… I used that simple and effective technique and broke free from the big aggressor’s grasp….  Upon breaking free, I ran for my life as fast as I could in the opposite direction and when I turned back to see if he was chasing me, he was still standing is the same place in disbelief, how I managed to breakfree from his strong grip.

He pointed his finger at me, and from the way he spoke… it looked like he said, “You watch out”
I have been safe until today, and I belief I was a victim of opportunity, being at the wrong place and the wrong time.

I Thank God to have attended Mr Mike’s training, without which, I might have just ended up a victim of a horrible crime.  I have read and heard so many news on single ladies being abducted in broad day light, jogging and driving alone.

God Bless Mr Mike and may he continue to share his knowledge to the rest of the ladies out there.   Don’t take things for granted, always be prepared.

August 31, 2007

Assalamualaikum Encik Jasni,

Last Thursday night I was involved in cars accident at KM 10.3 of Duke Highway.

The other car, Perodua Kancil toppled and rolled twice during the collision.  The car was clearly in very bad condition after that.

Upon witnessing what just happened, I rushed to the toppled car in attempt to check and save the driver and passenger(s) of the car.

There was a female driver who was safe, cried for help and struggled to escape due to jammed safety seat belt.

I was quick to remember that I had the ‘ResQ Me’ device with me as the key chain of my car keys.  I rushed to my car to get the device and successfully rescued the female driver by cutting the safety seat belt with the device.  I was perfectly okay and uninjured during the accident. The other driver was also uninjured despite suffering shock from the accident.

This was also owed to the fact that both drivers put on their safety seat belt.

I would like to highlight that the device ‘ResQMe’ did actually save the life of a passenger during the emergency.

My attendance in the PCG’s HSE safety talk also educated and made me to be calm, alert and acted accordingly in the case of emergency.

Do keep the HSE Safety Talk coming continuously in the future in educating PCG staff of the importance of safety and managing emergencies.

Thanks and best regards,

My personal experiences…

2015 – It was one of those sessions for Ladies Ultimate Self Defence that I was conducting to a crowd of approximately 300 ladies.   A special arrangement by FGA church.   The demonstration session started well.   Halfway through, a lady seated at the far end raised her hand and called out, “Sir, I think my son is choking”… immediately I jumped off the stage and raced across the hall.
This almost 5 year old boy was his gripping his neck with both his hands and face already slight pale.
I immediately got down with one knee and performed the anti-choke (Heimlich Manoeuvre) and upon several pumps, a sweet popped out from his mouth… it was a “Hacks” sweet given to the boy to silence him from asking his Mum too many questions.
There was a thunderous applause from the 300 crowd, but I was least impressed as I feel that this knowledge should be known by everyone of us, including CPR because we just cannot waste valuable time for the ambulance to arrive (if it arrives), as these are life threatening situations.

2023 – Another such incident happened as recent as last year during our Reunion Dinner where 2 families gathered to indulge in the festive celebration.   My 80 year old uncle was enjoying the variety of dishes when suddenly he felt uneasy in the throat.   He coughed very faintly over 2-3 minutes and his face started to turn slightly pale.  He still insisted that he was fine (with his hand gesture) when we asked him.   Eventually, I decided to convince him to allow me to try to help him dislodge whatever was stuck in his throat and he agreed.  I used the Heimlich move with care, considering his age and after a few attempts managed to “pop” out the foreign item, which happened to be a mushroom stem.

However, these are just the Successful stories we hear but there are many more who have lost their lives unnecessarily due to lack of knowledge.
